Center Introduction

The Smart Farm Convergence Research Center is established in 2019 by natural botanical, engineering, and life science researchers for science and technology-based future agricultural convergence and source technology development research. Our center focuses on conducting research to develop a fully autonomous, plant-centered intelligent agricultural production system that goes beyond conventional facility horticulture–based smart farms by organically integrating AI, robotics, data science, and plant life sciences.

Main Reserch
  • Fundamental life science technologies that interpret plant growth, stress, and metabolic responses as biological signals
  • Artificial intelligence technologies for agriculture through multimodal data and knowledge integration
  • AI-based integrated greenhouse control and robotic automation for autonomous smart farm operation
  • Demonstration and commercialization research of fully autonomous smart farm platforms
  • Regional dissemination and natural product–linked applications of developed core technologies
